Bucket Washer

Bucket wheel classifiers are dewatering equipments used to classify water and sand in sand washing systems and comparing with screw classifirs, less frictions occur during there operation due to their low speeds, thus they have lower operation cost and power consumption. The sand/water mixture coming from the washing process fall from the feed chute of the bucket wheel classifier to its basin, then the changable perforated buckets mounted on the slow rotating wheel of the classifier pick up the materials from the basin then raise it and bring it towards the discharging chute. Meanwhile, the water is drained through the holes of buckets and the sand is poured into the discharge chute and leaves the bucket wheel classifier and the water is moves trough the basin and flows through the special weirs then leaves the bucket wheel classifier to the sedimentation basin or other process. In bucket wheel classifiers with spiral recovering screws the fine patricles that flows with the water sinks in the bottom of the basin and been recovered by pulling them by the spiral screws towards the buckets. The bucket wheel classifiers that produced as single row or double row buckets  and in different sizes according to capacity and needs are driven by one geared motor mounted directly via coupling.
