Primary Units and Functions

Crushing and screening primary units are the initial units used for crushing and classifying raw materials such as rock or stone.

Crushing (Crusher): The unit used for crushing raw materials into large pieces. Crushers can generally be impact or jaw crushers.
Screening (Screen): The unit that provides classification of crushed raw materials according to their sizes. Screens can generally be vibratory or rotating drum screens.

Impact Crushers: They crush raw materials through high-speed rotating rotors and hammers on them.
Jaw Crushers: They are based on the principle of crushing by compressing material between fixed and movable jaws.

Screening (Screen) Units

Vibratory Screens: They classify materials with vibratory movement and separate them according to their sizes.
Rotating Drum Screens: They classify materials with screen panels rotating inside a cylindrical drum.

Main Components

Crusher (Impact or Jaw): The unit that performs the crushing operation of raw materials.
Screen (Vibratory or Rotating Drum): The unit used for classification of crushed raw materials.
Feed Hopper: The entry point where raw materials are fed to the crusher or screen unit.
Exit Conveyor: The conveyor belt used for transporting crushed materials or materials that have passed through screening.
Motor: The power source that operates the crusher and screen units.
